How does it work?
Here, we give you the low-down on your vaginal health, and explain the science behind our products

Vaginal dysbiosis
Vaginal dysbiosis happens when the natural balance of bacteria in the vagina is disrupted letting harmful microbes take over.
It can be triggered by things like antibiotics, hormones, or stress, often leading to discomfort, odour, or infections.

Boric acid
Boric acid has bacteriostatic and fungistatic properties, it helps make the vaginal environment slightly more acidic and can disrupt fungal cell membranes, making it harder for harmful microbes to thrive.

Acidity
Due to its mild acidity, boric acid can help gently balance vaginal pH, restoring it to its optimal levels.
Your vagina deserves better than guesswork.
Learn the real science behind common concerns like BV, thrush, and dryness - so you can feel confident, not confused.
How to Use Boric Acid and Probiotic Suppositories
When dealing with bacterial vaginosis or thrush, we recommend starting with our Boric Acid Suppositories. Here’s a suggested treatment plan:
Boric Acid Suppositories
Insert one suppository at bedtime for 14 consecutive nights. This helps eliminate harmful bacteria or yeast and restore balance.
Probiotic Suppositories
After completing the boric acid course and once symptoms have cleared, begin using our probiotic suppositories to support long-term vaginal health.
Use one suppository nightly for 7 nights, followed by one per week for 10 weeks to help maintain a healthy vaginal microbiome and reduce the risk of recurrence.
Note:
Boric acid and probiotic suppositories should not be used at the same time. Boric acid works to eliminate harmful microbes, while probiotics help restore beneficial bacteria. For best results, use them in separate phases, as outlined above.
I’ve never used boric acid before. What does it do?
Boric acid is a long-standing, natural, tried and tested remedy for common vaginal infections like BV and thrush.
Due to its weak acidity, boric acid can help to gently balance the pH of the vagina, restoring it to optimum levels (it has a bacteriostatic and fungistatic action, so it makes the vagina slightly more acidic while disrupting the fungal cell membrane).
Basically, it encourages a harmonious balance between the ‘good’ bacteria and the ‘bad’. It’s a simple solution for women who suffer from recurring thrush and BV, and those who’ve not found long-term relief from antibiotics.
Is it safe to put boric acid in your vagina?
Boric acid suppositories designed for vaginal use are considered safe in the short term when used as prescribed or under medical guidance. While some concerns may arise due to boric acid's association with borax, a compound found in household cleaning products and pesticides, it's essential to note that boric acid and borax are distinct substances.
Despite sharing a common compound, boric acid suppositories are specifically formulated for vaginal insertion and should never be ingested orally. The potential dangers arise when boric acid is consumed in "extreme amounts," with toxicity occurring at 15-20 grams for adults and 5 grams for infants.
It's crucial to emphasize that the recommended dosage of boric acid vaginal suppositories is typically 600 milligrams, and they are considered safe when used as directed – inserted into the vagina, not taken orally. To put it in perspective, an adult would need to ingest an 25 vaginal capsules simultaneously to reach toxic levels.

I’m pregnant, or breastfeeding. Can I use boric acid?
Boric acid is not recommended for use during pregnancy or if you’re actively trying to conceive.
While it’s considered safe for most women, there isn’t enough research to confirm its safety for pregnant individuals or developing babies. Because of this, we always recommend erring on the side of caution and avoiding use during this time.
If you're unsure, it's best to speak with your healthcare provider before starting any new intimate care routine.
